What Do Different Dental Procedures Cost?

If you’re dealing with tooth or jaw pain, chances are it’s time to visit the local dentist.

We’ve broken down the most common dental procedures below by average cost to help you figure out how much you should expect to pay.

Dental Exam

Many dentists or dental chains will offer these for free as a lead generation tool.

Cost Range: Free to $150

Teeth Cleaning

Recommended every six months, a deep cleaning of your teeth can help you identify if you’re brushing correctly, to more extensive periodontal therapy or work required for more serious oral health conditions.

Cost Range: $75 to $1,000

Teeth Fillings

Cavities happen, getting that tooth filled can stop pain and can help prevent more serious oral health issues.

Cost Range: $125 to $275

Dental Sealants

A thin sealant applied by a dentist on adults or children designed to help prevent tooth decay.

Cost Range: $20 to $40 per tooth

Root Canal

When tooth decay reaches the tooth’s pulp, it’s time for a root canal.

Tooth Extraction
